Compliance content is only useful if it's trustworthy, and trust has to be earned through a visible process, not just claimed in an “About” page. This page is that process, in the open.
Sourcing
Every claim about what a law or standard requires is checked against the primary source — the statute, the regulator's published guidance, or the standard itself — not against secondary summaries. Where we link to that source, it's a specific citation, not a generic link to a government homepage.
Review before publication
Guides covering regulatory requirements go through review before publication. Every published guide and regulation page shows a “last reviewed” date so you can judge for yourself how current the analysis is.
Keeping pages current
Regulation pages are treated as living documents. When a tracked law changes — a new effective date, an amendment, an enforcement action — we update the existing page in place rather than only covering the change as a one-off news post. The regulation tracker on our homepage reflects current status, not the status at time of original publication.
Independence
Governome does not accept payment for favorable coverage of a regulation, framework, or vendor, and does not let commercial relationships shape how we classify a law's requirements.
