About

Governome exists because most AI governance content is written for one of two audiences: engineers who already understand the regulation, or regulators who already understand the technology. Almost nothing is written for the person actually caught in the middle — the compliance officer, in-house counsel, or product lead who has to make a defensible call on a live system, on a deadline, without a law degree in one hand and a machine learning textbook in the other.

That's who we write for. Every guide starts from a real operational question — “is this system high-risk,” “what does our vendor actually owe us under this law,” “what changed in this amendment and does it change what we do” — and works backward to the regulation, not the other way around.

How we cover a moving target

AI regulation changes faster than most editorial calendars are built to handle. Our regulation tracker is treated as a living record, not a series of one-off news posts — when a tracked law changes status, the tracker page itself updates, in place, with a visible “last reviewed” date. See our editorial standards for the detail on how that review process works, and our editorial team page for who's behind it.

What we are not

We are not a law firm, and nothing on this site is legal advice — see our disclaimer. We're also not vendor-funded content marketing for a compliance tool; the goal is to be the page you'd trust enough to bookmark before you'd trust a sales deck.
